Data Sources

Where Nutrimetry's restaurant nutrition information comes from and how it is presented.

Official restaurant sources

Restaurant-specific menu values are collected primarily from nutrition calculators, nutrition guides, allergen guides, and menu materials published by the restaurants themselves. Source URLs, regions, and retrieval or verification dates are retained when available.

FDA nutrition references

Nutrimetry uses guidance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for Nutrition Facts terminology, serving context, and Daily Value reference amounts. FDA guidance provides labeling context; it is not presented as the source of every branded restaurant value.

USDA food references

For general food composition reference information, Nutrimetry may use USDA FoodData Central, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's food composition database. Restaurant-specific values continue to be attributed to restaurant or record-level sources where available.

Missing information

Unavailable nutrition fields are shown as not provided rather than replaced with invented values. Coverage varies by restaurant, menu item, source, and region.

Updates and regional differences

Recipes, portions, ingredients, availability, and nutrition values can change over time and may differ by location. Nutrimetry keeps regional records separate where available, but users should confirm important information with the restaurant before making decisions involving allergies, medical conditions, or dietary restrictions.

Corrections

If a menu item appears inaccurate or outdated, contact Nutrimetry with the restaurant name, item name, region, and supporting source so the record can be reviewed.

API

A public API is not available yet. Restaurant pages, search, calculators, comparisons, and the AI Meal Builder use the same internal records to keep displayed values consistent.
